The Stranger by Albert Camus – Paperback

In a world that demands meaning, what happens when one refuses to pretend?

Albert Camus’s The Stranger is a haunting exploration of detachment, morality, and the absurdity of life. Set under the blazing Algerian sun, it follows Meursault—an ordinary man who commits an extraordinary act without reason or remorse. As the weight of society bears down on him, Camus strips away the illusions we live by and dares us to confront the bare reality of existence.

Matthew Ward’s acclaimed translation revitalises the original French prose with clarity and nuance, allowing modern readers to experience the chilling simplicity and quiet rebellion at the heart of this literary classic.

Thought-provoking, unsettling, and enduringly relevant, The Stranger remains one of the most powerful novels of the 20th century—a work that doesn’t provide answers, but leaves you questioning everything.
